Anyone done the Great Glen Way?
I'm thinking about doing it in July ... midges - aargh! ... but until my
Footprint map arrives, can anyone give me details of the stages walked?

You can change horses wherever you like, but this site
http://www.scotland-inverness.co.uk/bht-glen.htm will give you an idea
of how to split it up depending on how many days you want to take.
They seem to be tied to accommodation in South Laggan but there is a
nice independent hostel at Easter Mandally which is within staggering
distance of the real ale available at the Invergarry Hotel.

I once did the Great Glen by boat, and at Invergarry, someone on another
boat tipped us off that you could get a bath at the Invergarry hotel. so we
booked a bath at 7:00pm, dinner at 8:00pm. We got a large Victorian
bathroom each with hot towels, all for a pound. It was heaven after the
cramped little shower on the boat. This was in the 80's so they may not do
it now.
