    I just read a great book about the AIDS/LifeCycle in California which is a 545 mile ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. The book is Russell Mendivil's

    THE RIDE: How to Ride Your Bike from San Francisco to Los Angeles Without Even Dying.

    The book is written by a 48 year old, overweight, heart patient who decides to do the ride after his daughter is accidentally exposed to the HIV virus. His view of cycling, his description of his fellow riders, and his experiences along the way make for an amazing read, which I found hysterically funny most often, and occasionally quite moving! It was a truly inspirational!
