  1. I am having a crack at this next weekend in a team of two. At this stage I
will be on my hardtail mtb but I am working on the missus and some local
bike shops to get a hold of a dually in time for the event. As it starts at
0900h on the Saturday and I am only able to get a one night leave pass, I am
prob looking at getting up early on the Saturday for the 3.5h or so drive to
get there by about 0800h. I will then hook up with my riding partner and do
rego, etc before the race starts at 9 (prob get him to do the first lap). I
will then camp over on the Sat night and get up about 0500h or so on the
    Sunday for the trip back.

I am thinking that this is prob a better strategy than trying to drive home
after about 6hrs in the saddle for a day!!

From what I have heard the Beechworth Chain Gang guys put on a pretty good
show so I am looking forward to the weekend.

    Anyone else going???

    Ride On,

Riding downhill for 12 hours sounds like my dream event.
