Norman ps I have heard that OS are going to eventually replace their outdoor maps with area maps supplied as memory modules you plug into units similar to the above. When you switch the unit on your position will be shown as an arrow marked (you are here). Music supplied as default will be Rule Britania etc.

This links to a Google translation of an announcement on a German website. Google will also translate the comments and followups if you click the links at the bottom. I don't think the Germans really call GPS 'Government Inspection Department'.
350 quid looks expensive for a PDA with that spec but if the GPS works well it could be cheap for an in-car mapping GPS. I'm tempted, but I have a feeling that although it is an impressively multi- functional device, it will turn out to be not quite-good-enough at any of those functions.
