Are there any others out there that plan there trip using a PC mapping system that can be
transferred to a handheld GPS. We are new to taking to our mountain bikes but we do look at the OS
maps before hand and try to plan a little. We take our GPS with us ( attached to the handle bars)
and keep a record of where we have been. The resulting track is transferred to our OS map on the
computer and including waypoints can be shared with others. I use OziExplorer as my PC mapping
software and my GPS is a little dated Magellan 315. If anyone is wanting some advice on using the
GPS on cycle rides then I shall be pleased in my limited capacity to help. It is good fun and after
all that is what getting out is about. Enjoy your next picnic lunch, weather permitting we shall be
out tomorrow.
