I'm an avid biker, and I've written a newly published book that may be

plenty of great tools for planning rides, including free or low-cost
maps and software, aerial photos and much more. Learn to update topos
with info from aerial photos (great for mountain bikers) or create your
own custom maps for your GPS. Since I did 99% of my field research on a
bike, I guess you could say it was written from a biker's perspective.
