  1. After having shopped around for a month or so, the wife and I settled on
road bikes. We found a dealer in Canning Vale (WA) selling GT's. He had
a cosmetic damaged 56cm Series 1 (rrp$3200) which fitted my wife for
    $1800, and i ordered a 60cm Series 2 (rrp$2300) for $1650. Happy with
bike specs for price, only hesitation is there are not many GT road
bikes out there. Googled and found they are big in Mountain bikes, and
they had some money issues around 2000. However, I figured these are
good, solid, light (for themoney) frames for within the budget.

Anyway, we pick them up (and the mountain of extras) on Tuesday, so
expect a sore [censored] for the next fortnight or two.

If anybody lives in Secret Harbour or knows someone who does and is
looking for a couple of newbies to ride with, please let us know.

Was it Cycle Scene on Bannister Road?

Yes, they are a warehouse for a shopfront in Morley. Also sell Merida in
road bikes. Talked to a guy called Colin who rides Masters Tours in
Europe, he made buying things very easy as he 'didn't really care what
brand you bought' he was employed as a consultant.
