  1. We can only hope tomorrow is this gorgeous for our first BLART ride. Any
BrisVegans who got out this morning please let me know, I want to hear
what a spiritual experience it must have been...

I woke up early craving a run, but alas! my legs are still sore from
that stupid gym class. I can walk okay now, but my ITB could be used in
a shanghai/ghing/slingshot. Think I will go for a swim later instead.

  2. When we woke up, we also realized what a fantastic day was to come - so
we packed the kids in the car and drove down to Cabarita Beach
(Northern NSW) for the day. Beautiful beach, sleepy and small coastal
hamlet, what more could you want??

Only an hour and 25 minutes drive from the southside of BrisVegas -
    what an awesome day!!!

Of course, I should have been preparing for the BrisVegas BR, but I did
get some pretty good exercise trying to swim my way through the
breaking waves, to subsequently get dumped and face-planted in the sand
by the surf, over & over & over again. Oh, and some good water running
from dragging my 6yo daughter out to the smaller waves (over & over &
over again) on her boogie board...

    See you tomorrow morning,
    Absent Husband

PS - Lard [censored] rides are now up on Von Berky's webpage!!

  3. Although I didn't ride today, I did go for a 1 hour high intensity bash in Daisy Hill Forest after work yesterday.

I must say, mountainbiking inspires me to ride faster, because the faster you go, the more fun you have.

The most glorious thing was my partner's stack. I have never seen him stack in a clumsy way (if he stacks at all, it's usually doing something which has be standing 5m away with big eyes... and usually he ends up requiring stitches). It was one of those 'just riding along and stacked' stacks. He was riding his single speed and clipped a log and literally went over the bars right beside me. It was most hillarious and I could not stop laughing. The poor bloke must think I'm such a b!tch now.

Anyway, that was enough to make me continue to kid myself that I AM the champion!
