Based in the UK I'm 16 stone not superfit and do a long tour in the summer for two or three months loaded for camping. Now thinking a trike might suit my leisurely riding style that includes lots of cafe and sightseeing stops. Comfort reliability and being able to climb hills however slowly is more important than high speeds.
Although I've ridden a couple for short periods I'm a novice at trikes. I think I'm looking for either a Greenspeed, Trice or Optima rider, ideally fitted with a Rohloff speedhub to lessen maintenance. Anyone riding any of these with a Rohloff care to advise or to suggest alternatives? thanks peter.

I have a wicks trimuter (a greenspeed clone). I did a three day tour in Quebec last june. The trike has a lot of room with the Bunyip Panniers on the rear. I had a sleeping bag and tent aboard along with clothes. I climbed several killer hills, but had no pain!
I'd look for a trike with a sturdy rack mounting area, and a stable platform.
