Good Morning Everyone,
I have been walking for about four years now.
In the winter ( Nov. thru April) I don't like to walk outside.
I have a treadmill which I have been using during the winter
but this past winter I just got bored with it and didn't touch it although I
have
a tv in the room and a portable mp3 player.
I am thinking of getting some below zero gear so I can try
to walk outside in the winter.
Any ideas on new ideas with the treadmill? Maybe if I moved
it to a new room. :o)
I have been reading some about elliptical trainers? Any opinions?
My walking the past four years has been a maximum of about 35 to 40
minutes. Nothing too speedy at around 3 to 4 mph.
Don't laugh...........I went and got one of those "Go Active Adult Happy
Meals"
at McDonald's so I could check out the little stepometer that comes with it
and I'm loving that little thing. It recommends doing 10000 steps for an
active
lifestyle. I've had it for ten days and have met the 10000 or exceeded it
every
day but two. It has really been fun trying to get the numbers up there
everyday.
I'm finding that I have to walk at LEAST and hour even with the activity I
do
the rest of the day.
I've dropped 12 pounds and I'm SO full of energy.
How are all of you doing with your walking,
