My dad recently hit the big Six-Oh and his cycling habit keeps him away from
the doc. He's lucky as he gets free bike clobber from me (very funky pink
steel Marin, oh yes).

The key is to enjoy it, and there are plenty of good networks for easy trail
riding. Railway lines and canals are littered with pubs so you can repent
afterwards.
