  1. Winter time. it's too cold and too dark.
I suggest best cardio workouts are 20-40 min sessions every 12 hrs (e.g. at 8:00 and 20:00) and repeated short intervals patterns (workout/rest: 15/15 sec, 20/10 sec, 30/30 sec).
    Any opinions?

  2. Same here; cold, wet and dreary this week. I go with one session per day, 50 mins, and use an endurance pace with the HRM steady at 65%-70% of max for the duration. Or, if I've got low energy, will just go at 60% and relax.

Keeping the HRM steady helps with the boredom, and I can control the HR better on the trainer than on the road anyway.
Besides, my goal is better efficiency on club rides at a lower HR.
