Gokyo Trek - new website

Nice set of photos Huw. Brought back a few memories as I was passing
through the lakes April/May last year. Did the Everest Trekking Peaks with
KE Adventure. Interesting to see the Maoist presence on the way to Namche.
We arrived during the troubles last year, got out to Lukla no problem ....
and no sign of Maoist but plenty of government troops guarding Lukla and on
the trail to Namche.

Thanks Sandy. It was my first trek with a digital camera, a Canon S3. I
was so pleased with the results I've moved quickly on and treated myself to
a Pentax K100D SLR which takes my old film lenses.
Maoists were quite active in November in the run up to their first
participation in parliamentary elections. I understand that now they are
part of government they are no longer taxing trekkers on the popular routes.
