Going to be lab tested (3rd time) soon and as I will be geting a PT soon I was wondering if there's anything specific I shold be asking to be included?
The test is a Kingcycle test which increments the effort every 3min.
Some of the info I have received back from previous tests is mainly HR related but here is a graph showing power / lactate values.
I also get Max minute power, 4mM Power, Max power to weight abd 4mM powr to weight.
The explanation of their maximum power value is as follows: The highest workload which you achieved (average held for 60sec) during the incremental test. This value is highly correlated with your performance over 10 or 25mile TT.
So..do you think this is enough info to plan from once I get the PT ?

I would also like to see a longer sub maximal test to estimate a starting FTP for training zones.
Thanks. Can you explain what that would entail..would it be a separate test ?
Hi Gianni
It could be something along the lines of a 20km TT - not perfect for estimating FTP but a start. It would be a separate test.
You can always do this (along with any of the other methods for estimating FTP) once you have the PT however. In fact this may be better as the Kingcycle calibration may differ from the PT.
In all honesty I would probably buy the PT and then conduct the testing then rather than pay a lab to do it now on a Kingcycle (unless your goal is to compare with previous results from this lab)
