  1. Being someone who suffers from Coeliac Disease (intolerance to gluten) I have in the past found it difficult to find suitable products for 'on bike' nutrition (most energy bars contain oats etc 🙁 ).

    After a bit of research and a lot of questions and emails, it appears that Gu Gels and GU2Ofrom Gu Sports (http://www.gusports.com/), as well as Enervit Sports Gels and Enervit G Sports Drink (http://www.enervit.com.au/) are all made from maltodextrin sourced from corn and as such are gluten free 😄

    Hope this helps those in a similar position 😉

    In Australia, "Lite Bars" are gluten free, as are most gels.

    Dried bananas are as good for carbohydrate as any bars that are available, and, between them and water or energy drink in long races work well to provide a good source of fuel.
