  1. Does the Giro get fewer teams(this year i think only 18), because of the Italian Dope Police? or are
    they others reasons?

    You would think a d1/d2 team that did not have a chance to get into the Tour or Vuelta would want to
    get one of the 3 big tours.

    thye get fewer teams frequently because RIA the Italian TV, often doesn't show the race outside of
    it's satelite network. Thus sponserss don't want to shell out for their teams to go. This year all
    the spanish teams stayed away because the race would not be available in Spain. By the time the
    Spanish pulled out it was aparently too late to fill the voids.
