Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts or advise on these two bikes the Giant Defy 1 or the Cube peleton cycle I like the look of both of them just wondering mabout the pros and cons

I don't think there is a "con" with either (or, most) brand(s) of bike(s), per se ...
Apparently, you will always get MORE bike for your money if you choose a GIANT over any other bike brand ...
Which is to say that you will pay less for a comparabley equipped bike if the frame has "Giant" decals on it.
The "con" to a Giant bike is the lack-of-exclusivity, if that matters to you.
FWIW. The BEST (?!?) recommendation which I have for someone choosing a ready-to-ride bike is to choose the bike with SHIMANO components over a bike with SRAM components.
