  1. Just looking for the opinions of the wise, knowledgable group we have out there:p

Have been offered an 04 giant TCR 1, without wheels, for $2700. I am
undecided on whether this is a good deal or whether there are better
alternatives for a corresponding type of bike. What does everyone think?

Sorry, is this a "TCR" or a "TCR Composite 1" or an '03 TCR1? I can'
    find an '04 TCR 1..

The TCR Composite-1 is about $4k complete I think

    Byron:

Given that TCR-1 composite fetches around 4 grand brand new, and Mavi
Ksyrium Elite is $900 per set (without tyres/tubes), if the one offere
to you is new, then my math says you save ~$250-300

If it's not new, then you have to consider warranty, wear, etc. an
whether $250-300 is worth it all. For a composite frame, I wouldn't los
warranty over that much of saving, but that's me

    Cheers, Amir
