  1. Hi Guys,

Am going to France for my Honeymoon, booking everything within the next few weeks. My wife is "allowing" me time off to climb what I and many others consider the most famous cycling mountain in the world ! ! ! Alp D'Huez ! ! !
unfortunately I have no clue of how to get there from Paris, no idear if I can get there by train, how I get there from the station, can you hire a car, how I get bike hire, and from where if possible.

I have many questions, also If I travel out that way where would be the best place to stay? At the top? I heard Genoble (not sure of spelling sorry)

    Any help would be great

    Cheers..............Glen.

  2. It's not far from Grenoble. We stayed there in 2004 when we watched the tour. There's a good TGV service from Paris (can't remember how long it took, 3 hours?). There's also plenty of places to stay in Grenoble and restaurants etc. We stayed in the Citadenes apartments which were fine. You should be able to find all the info you need using google.
