  1. It can't be shown at this time that the antiox benefits can be achieved by
supplements. What is known about the benefits of antiox substances comes
mainly from population studies where risk factors are compared with kinds
of sources of antiox substances and test tube type research where
specific elements can be isolated. Most studies where they are given in
pill form and benefits in risk are observed have not shown results
    expected:

This is hardly a representative cross-section of the population, i.e.:

"Most of the patients in the studies reviewed were either heart
patients or considered candidates for cardiovascular disease. As such,
some patients were taking drugs to treat abnormal lipids and high
    blood pressure. "

This would suggest that most are near or past retirement, and the
drugs they are taking are probably overwhelming any supplements.

Please post topics that are meaningful.

A population taking statins. Likely most too ill advised
to make the most effective change in their diet needed
to modulate their blood lipids. Rather than soluble fiber
and pantetheine, the "professionals" give statins.
