  1. Since I will be traveling by train with non cycling friends
to different cities in Germany and Austria I have a few
questions concerning my large folding bike suitcase. My
    Dahon suitcase meaures 33" long,27" high and 13" wide.Will
this suicase fit above the train seats that are in a
compartment or will I have to check the case into the
baggage car? Does anyone see any problems I might have
riding the rails with this large suitcase? Since we will be
staying for no more than 2 or 3 nights in anyone place I
will not be able to take one of my Bents. Thanks Bill B

  2. Bill, I left Germany in 1977 but back then I had to pay an
extra DM to put my bike in the bike/baggage car. You won't
be able to have that big box with you at your seat. We are
thinking of doing Horseshoe Lake on Sunday. Wanna join us?
