It was simply a outage for a few hours, maybe due to the heat.

You do _not_ need to re-register. "News.CIS.DFN.DE" and "News.Individual.NET" are the same servers
for a transitional period. Therefore we ask you to change the server name in your configuration into
"News.Individual.NET". Your account details will work further on.

However:

Several servers at the Freie Universität Berlin suffered from a major power outage on Aug 13th at
about 6pm UTC/8pm CEST/2pm EDT. The news server was unreachable for the next nine hours. Minor
repair is still going on, missing articles should appear within the next few hours.
