  1. I saw the thread where unicus built a gel/air saddle and decided it
    looked like a good idea. I chose to forgo the inner tube and installed a
    gel cover over the stock Miyata foam.
    Since the Bell cover was designed for a narrow b*ke saddle, I had to
    add a little material to the front of the cover to make it fit the width
    of the Miyata saddle.
    I got a chance to take it for a quick 3 mile ride after work today and
    it was extremely comfortable

    It's really quite simple:

    Buy a Bell gel saddle cover at Walmart for $10
    Split the seam at the front of the cover and around the drawstring at
    the front area
    Sew a 3" long piece of material on the front section to add enough
    material to tuck under the saddle
    Remove original cover and install gel cover

    Go ride unicycle!!!!!!!

  5. I put electric tape around the edge so that the fabric is protected and
    makes it look good in the long run.
