Hey guys... My first post 🙂
Back in 2002 a thread was made about the Shimano Nexus hub... Any
developments I wonder????
The aim here is to gear a giraffe. Brainstorming suggests to me either
two sets of chain and a hub with two clusters for operation in opposite
directions... (Which presents obvious problems)
Or...
A fancy hub - something like the nexus - If this hub can handle the
gear change then no chain tensioner would be needed!!! The question
then is wether or not it can opperate in both directions???? And can
the gears be changed manually???
Furthermore, if you just wish to ride long distance (like 100km), could
one replace the ability to back pedal with a brake???
Just throwing this one out there.... Has anyone any experience with the
Nexus???
