  1. Hi,

Wondering if anyone here has used the UK Topo software and can report
how much coverafge of the UK they can get on a micro SD card on say a
    Garmin Cx?

1GB cards are now available and I'd like to be able to say use the
Autorouting function of the GPS to drive from North Wales to Scotland
and then the Topo maps when out in the wild. It would be great if the
coverage would fit onto one card!

    Thanks.

    Yes.

As previously reported the average topo tile (1/4 degree square) is
about 3MBytes The whole set (Mainland UK, plus Scottish isles) is
~1.5GB, so you will have to do a bit of pruning. There is also some
limit on number of tiles the handset can see (2250 iirc?), and whether
you can really send >512MB via the GPS handset, or if you need to put
the SD card in an SD reader to do that.
