  1. I have purchased a new PC and wish to transfer the data that has been
accumulated, but cannot find the file that relates to it.

Does anyone know if this is possible or if the data is just stored within
    the programme somehow.

    Thanks in advance.

Erm, =which= =program(me)=?? If you mean 'mapsource' then the default
location is in 'my documents' iirc. If you used Oziexplorer or some
other 3rd party program, it could be anywhere.

  3. I received this reply from Tom Bird at Garmin that may be of assistance to
    others changing machines....

    Under C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GARMIN\Training
Center\ there should be another directory which has just numbers in its
    name.
This is actually the unit id of the Forerunner. The files we need are in
    here.

If in 'All Users' folder, you cannot see a folder called 'Application Data'
then go back to Documents & Settings and click on 'All Users' then go to
'Tools' and 'Folder Options'. Now click on the 'View' tab and make sure that
    'Show Hidden Folders' is selected.

    ----------------

I guess the answer is to copy this file into the new folder of the same
    name.

Ah. I think I misunderstood your question earlier. Don't you just
create a history file and then transfer that?
