I took hours to install all the software, then spent ages thinking I was building a gallery using the applet. I had 20 odd photos showing in the applet box, and titles and everything. Then I couldn't find a way of saving the gallery. I clicked file, and "save" wasn't "lit up". I lost the lot in the end. Will one of you kind young people tell a poor old man how to use this new fangled stuff. :0(
The Gallery Remote applet has a lot of unimplemented features. The features to add text and do other fancy features are not ready yet.
I use the small applet to upload pictures to the gallery. Just drag and drop the pictures on the applet and click "upload". Then use the web interface in the gallery to add text, reorder photos, and do other things.
