Galicia (Spain) route advice needed

I only know the north coast round viveiro.It is very hilly round there,
so the nice quiet back roads can be very time consuming .It is not flat
round santiago either.
I would track down the cycle shops and tourist information offices and
ask for 1in 50000 maps which are similar to our OS ones though less
colourful. there may also be 2miles per inch less detailed maps, or at
least there were of the Bay of Roses at the tourist info offices.
The 1 inch maps are available at a price in uk from the map specialist
shop in Manchester on line (name escapes me)
When you are there the tobacconists /newsagents will probably be well
stocked with the 1inch maps.In such hilly country that scale does not
seem too big.
Santiago is busy with cyclists.

Terry, thanks. I've got some maps from Stanfords (1:400k and 1:200k).
The latter seems adequate. Looks good to the west of SdC where the road
follows the coast round the rias. I don't mind hilly, though a similar
length trip further east in the Asturian/Cantabrian mountains last year
has taught me to be cautious about timings. Estimated "8 hour" routes
turned into 12 hour epics. Reg
