Work with me on this one...... Is there a X country FS bike out there that wont break my check book? Here is what I am 6 foot 190 lbs.. Newbie paved street and some trail rider in Anchorage, Alaska. I dont want to deny my kids food so I cant spend to much. Should I save up for a FS next year or go ahead and get a hard tail now? If you had it to do again.....
P.S.- I am sporting a hard tail stiff fork HUFFY!!!!! THat only has 4 gears working...

Hardtail if you are on a budget. Getting a good FS costs a lot more than a good HT, and the FS will have as many minuses as plusses even so.
