  1. could somebody compare these?

  2. overall, they look very comparable. check these two links for the specs:

    jamisbikes.com05 aurora.html
    fujibikes.combikes.asp

here are a couple of reviews:

  3. ok, i took a few minutes to compare the fuji and the aurora, plus the trek 520.

frames: all 3 are butted cro-moly, have forged drop outs, plenty of eyelets and braze-ons. the fuji has a spare spoke holder in addition.

frame geometry: the trek has the best chainstay and wheelbase;the fuji has the same wheelbase, but the chainstays are 1 cm shorter(still good); the jamis has the same chainstay length as the fuji, but the wheelbase is about 2 1/2 cm shorter than the other two. the trek probably has marginally better handling & comfort, as well as 1 extra cm of heel/pannier clearance.

components: all three have lower mid-range components that appear to be good enough to do the job, but you would probably want to upgrade when they need to be replaced, if not sooner.

basically, the differences are close to nil. price and/or personal preferences would be the deciding factors. for example, the trek has bar-end shifters, which i used to use but don't care for. the jamis has a threadless stem, for which i also don't care for.

what color bike you prefer could well be the deciding factor

  4. thank you. im going to go with the jamis i think
