  1. I'm offering up my two-year-old Surly Karate Monkey. This is Surly's
29er frame and mine is currently set up as a singlespeed quasi 'cross
bike, but it can easily be set up as a singlespeed MTB. It's a size
medium and it's green. Here are the details:

Handlebars: Salsa Bell Lap 46mm (these are great bars)
Brake Levers: Shimano RX100 road levers with Salsa 'cross interrupters
Brakes: Tektro Oryx cantis (set up 'cross style, with right lever
pulling front.) Of course, this frame also has braze-ons for discs, if
    that's your pleasure.
    Stem: No-name threadless
    Headset: Cane Creek threadless
Front Wheel: 105 Hub laced to MA3
    Seatpost: Silver Kalloy microadjustable
Cranks: Very nice Sugino 110bcd silver double with a couple rings (42
and 38, if I recall). This crank is great, nice straight arms unlike
    newer Suginos, cold forged.
    BB: Shimano UN52 sealed
    Pedals: Ritchey SPDs
Rear Wheel: Black Surly Flip-Flop laced to a silver Sun rim. 18 tooth
    fixed and free cogs.
Tires: I will include a couple of 30-35mm 'cross tires and a 45mm WTB
29er tire (with essentially no wear). Tubes included, naturally
Other extra: A Salsa bottle cage and a nice Echowell computer
Seat: Some silly soft thing you can take or leave.
Fenders: Full front, partial rear. Easy to remove.

The frames as a few scratches from normal wear, but it is straight and
undented and ready for far more punishment than I ever dished out.

    Pictures here: http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/bik/138004542.html
More on request or come and see (and ride) it in St. Paul, MN.

$550 + $30 US shipping OBO (SRP on a KM frame is $450)

Nice. Doesn't look big enough for me otherwise I would have said "where
were you when I was looking for a steel 'cross bike".
