I've got a set of Speedbars, the updated alternative to Scott Rakes.
Mine are several years old. I had the clamps milled out to fit 31.8 handlebars and they work flawlessly. You can still use shorter bolts and maybe shims if you want to use them on 26.0 bars.
I crashed with them once, and so there are a couple scrapes on the furthest "point" of them, but it's all smooth, no cracks or anything like that. I just never use them anymore.
