  1. For sale: Garmin GPS12.

About 7 years old. Includes original: box, manual, wrist strap. Plus bicycle
handlebar mount and home made data / power cable*. These two options sell
for about £17.95 and £14.99 when bought new.

Working perfectly apart from a minor problem with the display where a column
of pixels near the left hand side goes blank (see photo - e.g. middle dots
missing from the "2" of the 275 track reading). The amount of time that it
will retain information with the batteries removed is not as long as it was
    when new.

Will send by Royal Mail next day special delivery.

The data cable allows routes and waypoints to be transferred from a PC (9
pin serial port) to the GPS. It also allows tracks and current position to
be transferred from the GPS to the PC.

With some scanned OS maps and suitable software (e.g. www.gartrip.de ) this
is ideal for planning cycling or walking trips.
Full technical details available at the Garmin web site

    * NB: GPS12 external power input is 5 to 8 volts, recommended 6 volts. Do
not connect it to a car cigarette lighter directly, this will damage the
GPS. I have not used the external power option so the power supply end of
the cable does not have a connector fitted.
