I am asking $545 for one of the last Fuji titanium frames to roll off
the production line. This beautiful, rare frame is barely used, 57cm
center-to-center seat tube, (61cm to the top of the seat tube) and a
59cm top tube. It is straight and true, the decals are nearly perfect,
and although it is made in 1993 it compares to current titanium frames
because of geometry, high quality materials and superb workmanship. I
dressed it with a Campy 8-speed C-record titanium group and carbon
fiber fork. I include with the frame: the original steel fork, a 1993
Fuji catalogue containing pictures, specifications and background, the
original Fuji seat post clamp, and cable guide (under the bottom
bracket).
The oversize tubing is Sandvik Ti-3Al-2.5V (similar 3/2.5 tubing is
utilized in the construction of most titanium frames today); the
dropouts are water jet cut 6/4 from solid plate (6% aluminum and 4%
vanadium). The seat tube is 72.5 deg. and the head tube is 74 deg.
Bottom bracket clearance is 269mm and bottom bracket deflection is very
minimal making this frame popular with big or powerful riders. Many
track racers covet this frame.
This frame is made by Sandvik, the people who wrote the book on
titanium bicycle manufacturing for Fuji (this book and its concepts are
prerequisite reading for those who create with titanium). Features
include a chain hanger, pump peg, and a set up for two water bottles.
I rode this frame at over 50 mph on several descents and it was
perfectly stable. I need to raise cash or I would not sell this bike
frame. It makes a perfect bike for transporting because it is light,
has no paint to damage, and the tubing is nearly impossible to dent or
ding. It is comfortable on long rides and corners extremely well.
