I have this set of Chorus levers. They are in very good shape and the only marks on them are a couple of small divits on the right lever one below the "O" in Chorus and the other below the "R". I suppose they could be polished out if you wanted to bother with it. I have no idea where they came from. I suppose someone knocked my bike over at a coffee stop and didn't say anything.
Anyway they have a problem - I can get them to shift smoothly up but then they hesitate going down or vice versa. I've been messing with these things for a year or more and I just can't get them to work right. I think that there is some freeplay somewhere in the mechanism that's screwing them up but perhaps you have other ideas.

Sorry about that: they're 9-speed round hood levers. I don't know the model year.

I answer-I suspect a broken post on the spring carrier, EC-RE-111. The symptoms sound like it. Part at Vecchio's is $10, labor is $25..
