1-1/2 cups dark raisins
1-1/2 cup all purpose flour
1-1/2 teasp. cinnamon
1/2 teasp. ground cloves
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1-1/2 teasp. soda
3/4 lb. mixed chopped fruit
1/4 cup bourbon
1/2 teasp. nutmeg
1/4 cup softened butter or margarine
2 eggs
2 cups pecan pieces.
Put raisins in a bowl, add bourbon, mix well, let stand 1 hour, mix next 5
ingredients and set aside, cream margarine & add sugar and eggs. Beat
until light & fluffy, add flour with soda and nutmeg, then add raisins and
mixed fruit. Mix well. cover chill overnight, form into walnut size balls,
place on greased cookie sheet, bake at 350 for 12 mins.
(I chop my own fruit; but groceries carry it already chopped-which is
pineapple, cherries & citron). My family doesn't care for the citron.
