  1. Hello all,

So i'm 17 years old, almost 18 (another month or so !!), and I have been cycling for almost the entirty of my life in France (I moved to France when I was 9). But I used to cycle almost always in forests, tracks, and rocky roads. Hence my bike, a Nakamura XC Limited edition (worth about 500 pounds, bought it for 150 brand new !).

For the past year, year and a half, I have been doing a TON of road cycling (about 150km a week, along with 50km on a rowing machine). And I have had to transform my Nakamura into a road bike by adding some old handlebars and pedal straps. It's great and all, but it feels slow, sluggish on the road, I guess because of the large tyres. So I'm looking to buy a road bike, for about 500 pounds, or 650 euros (in that range anyway). I'm keeping my Nakamura because I still love going on dirt tracks, but just need help withg the choice of a road bike, because it is not my strong point.

    Gareth

  2. with 650 euro you can get a good mid level / entry point road bike, good idea to keep your old VTT, eventually you'll decide what kind of cycling fits you better,
