The sports of cycling an rowing aren't /that/ different in the demands the make on an athlete. At least in the pursuit discipline cycling is an endurance event like rowing demaning sustained effort and whilst to a casual observer rowing may seem to be about arms, the legs have a prominent role in the stroke. ITYM "are virtually the same". Plus. of course they are both fields where *tons* of medals are handed out in various sub-disciplines. It's a great achievement, but hardly makes her "the best in the world in two unrelated sports" as the BBC put it.
