I have just been given a large basket of fresh figs. They are not
large, so the weight is not great.
I absolutely love fresh figs and have eaten some already. Cant eat
too many tho LOL.
I seek tried and true recipes using figs for desserts. The family
can tolerate them this way, but can't seem to get their heads around
figs in a savoury setting. I can eat them any old way.
I would like to poach them in a red wine/port wine/brown sugar
mixture, but have lost the recipe. Can anyone help me here?
And I am really interested in other recipes using figs for desserts if
people have tried them.
I know its out of season for all you Northern Hemisphere people, but
perhaps someone can remember and look up a recipe for me.
Thanks .... and cheers
