  1. Fresh Apple Brownies

    1 teaspoon vanilla 3 eggs 1 cup cooking oil 1 teaspoon
    soda 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon allspice or nutmeg
    (or use 1/2 teaspoon allspice and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg ) 2
    cups sugar 2 cups self- rising flour ( use 1/2 of this
    flour to dredge apples and nuts ) Set aside. Combine rest
    of flour with sugar. 2 cups chopped apples 1 cup chopped
    pecans or walnuts.

    Mix first 6 ingredients, then add the rest. Mix well. Pour
    into a greased 13x 9x2 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees about
    30 to 35 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
