  1. We would like to introduce you to a new service we've launched called
FreecycleWatch (http://www.freecyclewatch.org). It evolved from our
inability to keep up with the flow of emails from the Freecycle groups
    we belonged to.

    The problem

We noticed that unless you constantly monitored traffic from the group,
most items were claimed within the day, often within the hour. While
this is great for users monitoring activity, it can be discouraging for
those participating in Freecycle who aren't able to monitor the message
    boards or their email constantly.

    The FreecycleWatch Solution

FreecycleWatch monitors freecycle groups that you specify for content
that you specify. By letting you define keywords to search messages
for, FreecycleWatch can alert you when a message is posted to any of
your freecycle groups that matches your criteria. What does this mean
to you? It means you get less email containing items you don't want
and special alerts when something you do want is posted.

    How does this work?

FreecycleWatch lets you define Search Keywords that it uses to scan
your freecycle groups for matching content. If you're looking for a
'waterbed' or a 'bicycle', FreecycleWatch will monitor your
freecycle groups and let you know when someone's posted an item that
matches one of your keywords. We'll even send it to your mobile
device (phone, PDA, pager) if you wish.
