  1. Hi ya

My hardtail (Brass Monkey) has frame wear from my tyre on an out of true wheel. A line has been worn
in the chainstay, towards the front of the tyre. Anyone else ever encountered this problem. Will a
weld from from a competent weld shop solve any potential problems. It isn't a high failure zone, but
has anyone ever had frame failure from this.

    Thanks Ry

    Frame wear, or paint wear?

Er, you what? You can't weld on to an alu frame without huge difficulties. In short, no.

Frame failure from the tyre rubbing the chainstay. Right...
