I am currently riding a self built MTB for fitness and occasional Triathlon use.
I would like to move on to something a little more fit for the purpose however not a purpose built TT bike.
As before I would like to try to build the bike up myself and have been looking around for frames, my budget all in is about £1000. I have been looking at the Airborne Thunderbolt (Aluminium), probably finished with a 105/tiagra mix, but know little about the company and their products. Could anyone please advise on whether this is a wise choice and or any alternatives. I am looking for something that would offer all round use rather that just TT or Triathlon type events.
I would like to make a purchase as soon as possible in order to be able to get the machine up and running before the weather breaks this year and would therefore appreciate any advice anyone could offer.
Also I have just seen a Klien Quantam Pro (last years) for £599, frame and forks, would this be better, other alternatives are the specialized allez comp or trek 2300.
😕
