Hi all, I've just discovered that my 98 Claud butler Criterum, downtube has rusted through from the inside. The damage is about 6 inches from the toptube and the tube is made from (531). It looks like a piece of foam is lodged in the tubing which has caused the problem. The rest of the bike is in near perfect condition (not many club runs this year)!!! I have no documentation from Falcon cycles as to the warranty etc. Any advice before I contact the dealer. Cheers
Howie

Just get in touch and see what they say. We old EBC Country has a Falcon frame and I did have the warranty paperwork that said 2 year warranty. Weld went after 7, so I knew it was out of warranty, called EBC anyway and they replaced the frame FOC and also transferred all the components from the old frame to the new FOC. Only question was did I mind the new frame being a darker shade of blue. Kudos to EBC, I've been happy to spend money there since!
Good dealers and manufacturers know that customer service is the key to repeat business, and repeat business is a key to long term business success. If your dealer's a good one they'll probably go out of their way to help.
