  1. I am toying with the idea of sending my Serotta frame somewhere else to be
painted -- somewhere closer to home. Serotta checks frame alignment and has
sweet custom paint jobs. Is there anything close in BC/the Pacific NW?

    Yes, lots.

Possibly the best known is Chris Dekerf. He builds bikes, but also does
a regular business of painting frames:

Their paint page quotes US$175 for a basic frame paint job, and it goes
up from there for custom stuff.
