  1. I have a set of fox Talas forks (2004). I can turn the red rebound dial
an unlimited number of click either clockwise or anticlockwise. While
the rebound is affected it seems to go from fast to slow over one
click, and then further clicks in any direction make no difference. Has
    anyone had similar problems?
    Thanks, Sam

Nope. I would keep it where you like it and leave it. Fork repair is
something an expensive, trained individual should perform. If it really
bugs you, sell it and get another one that works properly.

Got the same fork and not had a single problem with them I'm glad to say.
I played with the rebound when I first got them but not really since.

If you can't get the rebound working as you like, I'd get them serviced.
It's almost time if I recall the manual correctly and you've had them since
    04. This is a job for 'authorised' people though and thus worth the slight
    expense in my opinion.

have you had these since new or have you just bought them? if the
latter, it sounds like they were incorrectly reassembled after a
rebuild. take them to someone that knows how to rebuild properly. or
send it back to fox and have them do it.
