Many of you are either freezing your allen bolts off in the winter cold or slaving away over a hot turbo trainer. I grew up in England and believe me, I sympathise.
I now live in Australia, where today was around 37 degrees C in Wagga Wagga. I went out to do my 2x20s and you know what? It was just too darn hot. I felt rough in the first one and abandoned the second.
So, ironically, I shall be sticking to my turbo trainer until summer passes. I have an air conditioner, a massive fan and a DVD player where I happily whir away watching Tour de France, Giro or Classics DVDs. It's cooler, a more controlled environment and less gruelling than being outside.
So when you next curse the cold weather and wish you lived somewhere hot, think of me on my turbo, thinking of you guys...
