so if a low arch-pronator runs with shoes made for a low
arch pronator, the wear pattern would be "normal" because
the pronation would be corrected? In the past, when I get my
mileage or speed up too fast I get the posterior tibialis
type of shin splints...this was when I was heel-striking.
Is it possible to pronate while midfoot-forfoot striking?
I've started running again after some sprained ankles (same
ankle over the course 5 weeks) so I've started back with
short slow runs. To keep the boredom at bay I concentrate on
keeping a high cadence, which is turning me into a mid-foot
striker. If this keeps up, when it comes time for new shoes,
should I keep this in mind? In the past I've used Roadrunner
catalog because it has the nice grid, comparing all brands,
and because they carry the "classic NB851". What does a
midfoot striker look for in a shoe, and should I still
consider myself a low-arch pronator?
