  1. I have heard from various posts on this newsgroup that a
    WD-40 flush of STI shifters will "help them along". I
    plan on either lubricating or flushing my DA shifters -
    are the Flight Deck electronics safe from this, or can
    they be damaged?

    'STI repair kit'-you are flushing up where the shift guts
    are, not toward the back..Shouldn't hurt it. Remember WD-40
    is often used as a 'water displacement' spray.

    WD 40 is a Water Displacer, thats what WD stands for

    What is WD-40?


    It's good for cleaning, displacing water and as a temporary
    lube, but it doesn't last for serious lubrication.
