I bought a Cycleops Fluid 2 and its a good trainer, but after i did a little more research and my roommate was about to buy one, he ended up getting a kurt kinetic road machine. I prefer the kurt kinetic for a couple of reasons.
1) The flywheel is heavier which provides for a longer spin down / coast time.
2) The drive mechanism uses magnets to connect the drive wheel to the resistance unit. What this means is that the resistance unit is completely sealed, whereas the cyclops has a shaft with an o-ring sealing the fluid inside. The cyclops will eventually fail and the fluid will leak out.
3) The brackets that hold the rear wheel are more easily adjustable and sturdy. -

i had a cyclops fluid for 7 years it was great then it spun out a bearing as the max watts is 750w or 1hp,(not sure about the minuora) they replaced the unit with lifetime warranty, i thought that was great .
i then sold it to a freind and bought a kurt kinetic road machine max watts 2k almost 3hp way more than i need 🙂personally if i could stand the NOISE i would want my wind trainer back oh well maybe when my hearing goes😉
